The Most Loyal of Friends
by Luis A.
Ten years ago my uncle walked into our house with a stray little fur ball of a puppy he found wandering the streets. The dude was just too cute, he looked like a fuzzy cuddly teddy bear that I couldn't bare to see him put in the pound or wander the streets in his lonesome. I took him in. For ten years he has been my best friend, the most loyal of friends.
10 days ago he became ill. Lost all energy and drive. Loss of balance. No appetite. He would lie on the ground and cry in agony. I felt it deep in my gut that after 10 years this was it. He had never been in such a poor state. I would be losing my best friend. Sunday came and all veterinary clinics were closed. Except for Crossroads...
I called and explained my situation to a friendly and kind receptionist (wish I had gotten her name). She was understanding and very helpful. I explained to her that my dog wasn't the best trained and this might constitute a problem. She told me not to worry; they had assistants who would be more than happy to help. I rushed over.
I checked in to the hospital and filled out the needed paperwork. A few minutes later a tech assistant came out and aided me in bringing my dog into a room. It wasn't easy. My dog was a brat even in a sick state but the workers there were so kind, patient and understanding. After the doctor came in and had a look at him they explained to me that seeing how my dog didn't display any obvious marks or signs of any particular sickness there needed to be test, x-rays and blood samples in order to get to the bottom of what was wrong.
My dog was taken in by the techs and doctor. He had to be placed under anesthesia for the test since he was being very difficult and a total brat. I was assured they would take good care of him and that I should wait in the lobby. I waited there for a few hours, no complaints, my concern was with my dog’s well being. As I waited, the staff was extremely helpful and kind towards me. I saw many worried owners walk in with sick pets and the staff was so comforting and kind to everyone.
Finally, the doctor was ready to see me. My dog displayed signs of anemia and had a bad back (vertebrae). She was kind and thorough in explaining to me his condition. After being prescribed medication we were ready to head home.
Flash forward a few days of prescribed medication and my dog is happy, energetic, and full of life. I couldn't be happier to see him in such great health after the poor state he had been in a few days ago.
I owe so much to Crossroads. They helped bring my best friend back to good health. They were kind, patient, understanding, and extremely caring towards me and my dog. I would highly recommend their staff and facility.
Crossroads Rocks My Socks!!
by Milah M.
Aw. My baby boo puppy Deuce got into a squabble with our babygirl Cleo, resulting in him having a gaping hole near the side of his neck so babe and I had to rush to an animal emergency center STAT, in the middle of the night. We called 411 and there were only two animal emergency locations open - one in Bell Gardens and the other in Norwalk. Norwalk was closer so we headed out in anticipation and with great concern.
Crossroads Animal Emergency put me at ease immediately with the warm reception area, complete with coffee, tea, water & Twizzlers. It's true what they say - that neutral colors tend to be calming to the mind. I took a breather while we filled out the info and waited patiently. Sarah was very informative and helpful from the get go. She checked him out then turned him over to the doc. Doc thoroughly examined him, let us know that he didn't have any air pockets which is a very good thing, threw some numbers our way and told us that baby Deuce needed staples. Procedure took 15 minutes. He got 3 staples and she said he was "brave." Thatta boy ;) He was prescribed some antibiotics to take twice a day, one during the morning and one at night. We were ever so grateful for all they had done for us in such a short period of time. Crossroads rocks my socks!!
Luna Gave Birth to Beautiful Puppies
by Alma G.
Luna experienced her first labor so we took her to Crossroads to assist her with the delivery of her beautiful puppies. The service was exceptional and the staff is very nice. Frances was very helpful keeping us updated on Luna's birthing experience during labor. I will definitely suggest Crossroads to my friends and family if they ever need emergency pet care.
Jade Was Hit by a Car
by Nisa and Martha G.
Our very lovable Jade was run over by a car and we took him to Crossroads right away for emergency care. The veterinarian was more kind, thorough, patient and available than most medical doctors that I have visited. All of the staff showed genuine concern not just for our puppy but for us too. You will receive many referrals from us. Thank you for taking care of Jade and God Bless all of you!
Dr. Elliott and Tony Were Especially Helpful

LaLa's Visit to Crossroads
by Fabiola M.
Our usual playful, affectionate and active LaLa showed signs of loss of balance and was diagnosed with lack of calcium and had a fever. This was our first visit to Crossroads and we were seen right away. Procedures and all possible care was explained to us including price estimates. Frances was especially helpful with our visit and all of our questions were answered. Frances was also very comforting during our emergency situation. I will recommend Crossroads to anyone who has a pet and may experience an emergency.
The Service to My Pet Was Immediate
by Melisa C.
Coco was chewing on a raw hide bone and ended up swallowing a large piece. She became nervous and started throwing up repeatedly. Crossroads Animal Emergency met all of my expectations. The clinic has a clean facility and a very professional staff that was genuinely concerned for Coco. All of the staff was helpful during our visit and to others who were visiting with their pets. The service to my pet was immediate and we didn't have to wait long for Coco to be taken care of. Thank you for taking care of our pet during her emergency.

Crossroads Loves Quincy Too
by Cynthia V.
My poor baby did something to his leg when jumping from my Lazy Boy chair. Help! Quincy is our baby, and he was hurting. I hurried to the phone and called my regular vet, Los Altos Animal Hospital; from there I was referred to Crossroads.
Not knowing anything about your animal hospital, I called with a little hesitancy (I love Los Altos Animal Hospital). The friendly receptionist calmed my reservation; she was sympathetic and knowledgeable.
So, off we went to Crossroads. The directions were perfect, so we arrived in good time. Walking in the door, the receptionist was very attentive to Quincy. Of course, any mother is pleased when someone is kind to her child!
We did not have to stay in the front room very long (unlike the experience with most human doctors). It was fun to have the video; it took my mind off Quincy's problem. When the doctor's assistant arrived in the waiting room, she was kind to my baby and took care not to hurt him.
Dr. Elliott arrived; she also was very kind to Quincy. I appreciated her explanation of Quincy's possible treatment. The technician who entered the waiting room after my baby went with the doctor was thorough in her explanation of the costs involved.

Crossroads Animal Emergency is a friendly staff with great concern...
by Kim N.
The doctors and staff at Crossroads were very attentive to Madison and also did a great job of comforting and keeping me calm given the circumstance of the accident. I was very pleased to see that upon Madison's return visit that she was remembered and everyone was still concerned that she was making progress and continuing to feel better since the treatment recieved here. The staff was super friendly and I appreciate their hearts and what they do on a day-to-day basis. Thanks to everyone!
Roxy's Road to recovery
by Liz G.
Crossroads Animal Emergency is the only place I will take my dog after-hours. They were amazing when we took our dog in after she ingested snail bait. The front desk saw her condition and sent her to triage right away. The doctor examined her and quickly gave us an overview of her condition. They advised us of all of the exams and costs up front this way we wouldn't have any surprises when the bill was presented. After an overnight stay she is so much better, the staff took great care of her and us. They worked with us every step of the way to her recovery. Every time we called to check her status, they quickly transferred us to her doctor. If you are in the area and need an after-hours animal hospital please call Crossroads.

Sunshine's Visit
by Debra S.
From the moment we walked into Crossroads the staff was very friendly and attentive. We waited no more than five minutes in the lobby. Dr. Guinn was very kind, patient and made us feel that she truly cared about the health and well-being of our puppy pug. When we were given a diagnosis we were very well-informed. I highly recommend Dr. Guinn who is a complete professional with a very caring nature. I would definitely visit again should the need arise.

We left Crossroads with a big feeling of relief. We were so happy that we brought our Maggie. The staff was outstanding from the first phone call. Max's Visit

Shelene responded professionally to my phone inquiry and gave their address and zip code in order for us to utilize the GPS system to locate them. We just moved into the area and had no idea where they were located. Professionalism from entering, complete with full instructions of cost, fantastic with our English Bulldog. Jennifer was thorough in her exam and Dr. Haney couldn't have been better. It's SO nice to know this quality ER clinic is near to our new home in case of future emergencies. I HIGHLY recommend Crossroads Animal Emergency in Norwalk!!!

Snowball needs a toothpick not a stick
By Gabriel R. Crossroads Animal Emergency
Great Place! Friendly service. Cost much less than I expected. Not too many animal hospitals open late at night, glad there not too far away. My dog Snowball had a piece of stick lodged on the roof of his mouth. He was bleeding and very uncomfortable. Staff was very caring and prompt.
Highly recommend them.
TLC for Allie
By Annette L.
My dog had surgery to repair a wound caused by a pit bull attack. She received stitches for a 6-7 inch wound. My personal experience with this pet hospital was excellent. The staff is friendly and accommodating. Doctors were explicit with instructions and loving with my dog. It was under the price they initially expected and it is clear that this facility sees their work as a service. I felt my pet was well cared for. I would definitely recommend this facility to friends as it was recommended to me. I encourage others to bring records and anything that provides history of your pet. When a trauma happens, you don't always remember everything.

We brought Lucky in because he was hit by a car. Although he didn't appear to be injured, we wanted to have a doctor look at him. Dr. Elliott performed the examination. She was thorough, and answered all of my questions. The staff was helpful in keeping my son and I informed of everything that was going on. I can say all the staff and doctors were most helpful.
Thank you for all your assistance.

All the staff was very friendly and seemed sincerely concerned for my pet's well being. I was very happy that they were open late and able to see my pet at such a late hour. The doctor also took the time to listen carefully to every symptom I observed. I didn't feel rushed or cut off like at some other vet offices.

The medical capabilities are state of the art. The follow up communication is excellent and helpful. Add in the cooperation with our primary Vet and the experience couldn't be better. Always been wonderful to my pets...and me!
By Suzanne Y.
I have had several animal emergencies over the years, and the staff at Crossroads have always been competent, empathetic and caring. Even with the "grooming accident" on an elderly cat, they did not scold me (I had tried to cut a mat out, and instead cut her skin), and assured me I was not the first, nor would I be the last to do this. The other time that stands out in my mind is with my old Chow, Apollo. He had been diagnosed with chest tumors, and I wasn't sure how long he had. On a blistering hot holiday weekend, he went into respiratory distress, and I couldn't bear to see him suffer until a business day. The staff and doctors at Crossroads treated me with kindness and sympathy, and allowed me time to be with him as they sent him on his way to Rainbow Bridge. There have been other, more minor visits, but they have always been wonderful. It is worth it to have such caring, competent people available when no one else is.
My Experience
By Nancy R.

The service and care my pet got was more than I could have hoped for. Everyone there really cared and I knew my pet was in great hands. I hope my pet never needs the emergency room again - but it is great to know they are there.
Incredible
By L S.
This was the first time my husband and I have experienced the warmth, care and compassion of any animal hospital. Dr.Blackwood has a heart of gold and it showed the minute she walked into the room. She was loving and gentle with our dog and to us as well. I will admit the cost that day was a bit much but our experience there was well worth it. The staff is wonderful, respectful and knowledgeable. The place is incredibly clean and not anywhere did we encounter any bad smells. The staff never displayed any discomfort when we asked to tour the facility, it was welcomed.
I will be the first to recommend this hospital to all our friends in church and look forward to a long relationship with our dogs, staff and Dr. Blackwood.
The nurse went above and beyond
By Anonymous
My dog could not urinate. =( I took him in on Sunday afternoon at 7:00 p.m. and the office was nearly empty. By the time we left at 10:00p.m., the office was packed. Luckily our dog was admitted as soon as we got there. The hospital looks nice from the outside and the waiting rooms were very clean. She told us about his behavior during treatment and just had an overall caring way about her. Made us feel safe. He didn't have any stones. They recommended a special diet that neutralizes the minerals in his bladder to avoid the buildup of crystals and possible stone formations.
