Dr. Kelly Blackwood has been staff surgeon at Crossroads Animal Emergency & Referral Center since 1995. She completed her surgical residency at the University of Saskatchewan.
Dr. Blackwood regularly performs surgery for medial patellar luxation, anterior cruciate ligament rupture, hip dysplasia, fractures, and mass removal. She also offers:

  • The tightrope procedure—the latest in cruciate ligament repair

  • Stem Cell Therapy to improve lameness, stiffness and pain and increase functional ability in dogs

Dr. Blackwood sees appointments Monday through Wednesday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m and is on call for emergencies.
